Viet Nam, with a population of nearly 90 million people, is located in the Southeast Asia, at the heart of  a dynamic Asia. The country is home to one of the oldest cultures in the region with numerous world cultural heritages.

As one of the fastest growing economies in the last decade through continued economic development, with a hard-working and talented workforce, Viet Nam is nowadays seen as one of the most attractive, secure destinations for business, investment, trade.

With enchanting lanscapes, original cultures and the hospitality of the people, Viet Nam is considered as an wonderful place for tourism.

The Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and the State of Qatar established diplomatic relations in February 1993. Viet Nam opened its Embassy in Qatar in Febuary 2008; Qatar officially opened its Embassy in Viet Nam in January 2010.

The recent years have witnessed fruitful developments in the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. In April 2008, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, H.E. Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al Thani made his first official visit to Viet Nam in his Premiership. In March 2009, the Prime Minister of VietNam, H.E.Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung paid his first visit to Qatar. The two Premiers agreed on further enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially in prioritized fields such as investment; energy;  agriculture; trade…
